General Dentistry
Visiting the dentist every 4 - 6 months should be routine because it can help prevent long term damage you may not know about. We want our patients to understand that regular visits are important not only to your oral health, but also to your overall health.

CleaningList Item 1
A cleaning is a common dental procedure that we recommend every 4 - 6 months. During a full mouth cleaning, our dental hygienist will remove plaque, floss, and then polish your teeth. During a cleaning, there will also be an oral exam conducted to see if there is any distress, oral cancer, gum disease, tooth decay, or any other possible infections or problems.

Filling
A dental filling is what happens when a tooth needs to be restored due to tooth decay. There are two different methods available for treating a dental filling, such as composite and porcelain. Both of which are the same color as your natural teeth. Each method will depend on where your tooth decay is and the status of your surrounding teeth.
-
Bridges
A dental bridge is used to replace a tooth, with an artificial tooth made of gold, alloys, porcelain, or a combination of all three materials. A patient may require a dental bridge when they are missing a tooth and are looking for a cost effective way to replace it.
-
Crowns
Dental crowns, also known as “caps”, are cemented into an existing tooth without needing to go into the gum line. A dental crown may be recommended if there is a tooth that is broken, worn down, or being destroyed by tooth decay. A crown may help enhance the tooth shape and appearance, while also keeping the mouth strong. Although a crown may be considered a cosmetic procedure, you may need them for more than cosmetics, such as strengthening the hold on a dental filling.

Bonding
Bonding is a painless procedure used to enhance the appearance of the mouth and is a less expensive solution to repair chipped, discoloured, or crooked teeth. Bonding is done with a composite resin, which is made to be the same colour as the natural teeth. This procedure can usually be done within one visit at the dentist, which can have you leaving with a bright smile, right away.

Sealants
A sealant is a thin plastic coating that is used to treat the surface of molars or deep grooves found within teeth. A sealant is a resin that is applied to teeth with a curing light which immediately hardens onto the tooth, which leaves the teeth strong, healthy, and protected.
